Imagne the TV ads. They're fake enough as it is. I can just see some dicky 20 kilowatt convertable cruising down the street with four equally dicky clones sitting in it holding up their sassberry caffinated lagerchinos!

I am prepared to bet that everything they make will (perhaps eventually) be released as a bag-in-box post-mix product and that if they make beer, there will be a sugar-free diet version - not made with malt that is almost indistinguishable from the Pepsi product. :D

That's interesting.

I know it wins points for authenticity, but for my own part, I much preferred the JS Pilsner.

Rumour in todays Newcastle Herald linking bluetongue to this....

More info about this story from the Herald Sun. It doesn't really tell us anything we didn't already know though.

Story is here: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/ ... 64,00.html

I know it's not exactly beer related, but I have been hearing one or two stories from some of my mates in the bartending industry that Coca Cola was set to buy Jim Beam. I can't seem to find anything to directly confirm this, but in my opinion, that is a pretty serious move to start making a crack at the alcoholic beverages market.

I suspect he was probably just talking about the rights to make it in ready-to-drink form in Australia (i.e. canned with cola).

Cheers,
