Alpha Pale Ale - Matilda Bay

Went to “The Australian” hotel on Friday night..

On Tap they had Matilda Bay Alpha Pale Ale..

LOVED IT!

Hoppy and bitter in the style of LCPA but hoppier…

Now to find it in the bottle!!

I went crazy over the Alpha IPA at the Australian Hotel Beer Festival a couple of weeks ago. It was my second favourite tasted (after the Murreys Grand Cru)

I'm pretty sure Brookvale Cellars stock it.

You can get the Alpha Ale in bottles, but for some reason it is incredibly expensive.

its 25 bucks for a six pack...

I know international beer shop sell it,

quite a few bottle shops in WA sell it, but being from W.A, i guess it would be more readily available than the eastern states (not for long though i'm guessing).

I reckon if you were going to make it, try lots of cascade and centennial...

I found in Port Fairy IGA of all places, so it pops up in some strange places. good drop but im not forking out that much cash again.
