Anyone tried Barons Pale Ale on tap??

Just saw a rep of theirs walk into my local with bar runners, coasters etc etc so I assume they are putting it on tap.. I hope it nice since they used to have JSAA but replaced it with Pure Blonde

Hi DJ,
Barons Pale Ale is a good drop that reminds me somewhat of Little Creatures Pale Ale. I enjoy it when I can find it.
One place I know you can find it right now is at the Alberts Pub in North Sydney.
The reason I know is that I was there at lunch today and it is currently their Beer of the Month... Which means $5 pints :-)
So anyone looking to try this one, or has already had the pleasure, get to Alberts for the Month of March for those $5 pints.

Cheers,
Warren

Can't say I've tried it on tap, but I bought a 6pack last week. Damn lovely. Quite different from LCPA, but they're both great beers.

Has anyone tried Baron's Black Wattle? I've had it on tap a couple of times, and I could spend the night on that thing. Its not really like anything else I've ever tried before.

It certainly is different; I assume it's the black wattle seed. Kinda like eating rye bread and drinking beer at the same time. ;)

I was lucky enough to sample it through a brewing mate who got sent some for writing an article about them. The dark wattle seed beer was tasty.

I don't think they are available in Adelaide but will keep an eye out for them.

I had this beer after the City to Surf last year on the way back to the Motel.

I had one and thought crikey moses this is different.

The bloke I was drinking with surprisingly liked it too......so we had another :D

I rate it on tap, have not had a bottled one yet.

EDIT...Forgot to mention, the Barons is excellent IMO.
A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.

I've seen Baron's Pale Ale on tap at the Equilibrium in Sydney. They also have the ESB, Black Wattle and Lemon Myrtle Witbier on tap. Tried them all from tap and from bottles, as my local bottlo stocks them and I got a tasting of a couple of them. They are good beers on tap or in a bottle.

Finally is on tap across the road..

My thoughts...

Like a weak version of LCPA. Lighter in colour and lighter in Hoppiness...

could do with an extra burts of hops I think..

Not a bad beer though. But not a great one.

Dan Murphy's here in Holland Park has the Baron's Pale Ale and the Black Wattle Seed.
I like them both, and am glad they made it up here to Queensland!
Now if only the Holland Park Hotel will start carrying at least one good brew on tap....
