The good, the bad and the ugly of commercial beer and breweries, including microbreweries and craft breweries.

5c Deposit in SA

I'm told that it is illegal in South Australia to sell beer without the 5c deposit on the bottle or can.

does this mean that beers in Champagne bottles will be unavailable in South Australia?

Im not sure about that because champagne bottles do not collect a refund of sought. I know that grog chains like dan murphys and BWS have to manually place the white lables with deposit SA on them on all the import stuff. Also i see thay are uping the price from 5c to 10c refund. Good in one way but the price of beer will go up and no doubt more then the refund!
Ah, beer, my one weakness. My Achille's heel, if you will.
