Big surprise, VB brings out Raw and XXXX is not far behind with something similar. I seriously doubt this could be considered a boutique beer, it seems to me it will simply be a low carb corona.

Anyone had a chance to try this drop yet?

Finally got to taste this tonight.

The nose on this beer is quite fruity and certainly not what I expected. The flavour very mildly reflects the aroma, it's still a rather bland beer in comparison to the good stuff out there.

That being said, I am surprised something like this has come out of XXXX. It's not a terrible beer, certainly stands out in flavour more than the VB Raw whilst still being generic enough to appeal to the mass market. I couldn't place what the hops were but it's certainly something different than the usual suspects in XXXX Gold and Bitter.

It may not mean much but this is probably the best XXXX beer on the market.
