Carlton Cold = leftovers?

The good, the bad and the ugly of commercial beer and breweries, including microbreweries and craft breweries.

Carlton Cold = leftovers?

Postby Slightly » Sunday Feb 07, 2010 10:17 am

A bartender once told me, after a local ordered his 6th 'coldy', that Carlton cold is made up of leftovers from other CUB brews and must be avoided at all costs. I thought he was joking so I laughed, but then he said he knew someone from the brewery and that he was telling the truth. His he crazy? Or am I crazy for not knowing this?

"Crown Lager is taken from the top 10% of the normal Fosters Lager vat. It is true. I know a bloke who knows a bloke who used to work at CUB."

That would explain why they all taste like rubbish. The top %10 of a septic tank is still shit.
