I know i'm at the other end of the globe to most of you blokes.
But I've just enjoyed three quarters of a litre of a northern French beer - Septanque Cinq Blonde . Which is a nice, warm and slightly sweet brew with a real hop kick that offers 7.5 % ABV. This is typical of northern French and Belgian brews which climb up to 18% ABV and all taste fantastic.
I'm sorry to have to tell you that they are all served at room temperature - no chilling here - in a manner that would befit a vintage wine.
Cheers.
