I recently had a very close friend (and fellow homebrewer) pass away suddenly at the age of 33. Unfortunately he didn't have any life insurance and it's left his wife and 20 month old daughter in a spot of bother financially.

We're having a fundraiser for them this Sunday, part of the fundraiser is a goods & services auction. I thought I'd contact Coopers to let them know an avid fan of their products had passed and see if they could help out in any way. Less than a week later 3 boxes of pale ale and an awesome Coopers Golf Bag turn up on my doorstep. Coopers are just a sensational company. If you're thinking about buying commercial beer, please fork out the extra few bucks for the Coopers. Taste wise there is no comparison and you know you're supporting a company who care about it's customers.

Sad to hear your news. It's things like this that demonstrate the difference between a family run business and a multinational. Best of luck for your fundraiser.

Yes in an age of amoral global capitalism Coopers is an exemplar of how a business should be. I always try to buy as many of their products as possible.
Prost!!!!!!!!!!!

That is really good of them.

I might go buy some of their beer now. Not that I needed another reason...

We had the fundraiser on Sunday. The Coopers gear went for $330 at auction and contributed to over $23,000 raised for the day.
