Source for 5-gallon Plastic barrels ?
Can anyone help me ? I'm looking for a retail source, preferably local to North Sydney, where I can purchase plastic barrels (NOT plastic buckets that decorators use for mixing paint!).

some Bunnings outlets sell 25 litre camping water containers. they have an unscrewable lid about 10 inches across, and could easily have an airlock hole drilled if required. they also have a hole to screw a standard tap into. under $20 if i recall.

No pixelboy - more like the Cider Barrel, or even the Weltonhurst 5 Gal Basic White Barrel with Vent Cap, on this site:-

As it happens I know Dave quite well as I buy stuff from him. He's a really good stockist and a great bloke to do business with.

I think those barrels are for serving your brews from, rather than for use as a fermenter or secondary.
They're not used in Australia, as far as I know. Local home brewers tend to use the corny kegs, rather than the plastic jobbies.
