Milton is short for Milton's brown iodine solution from memory. Better late than never.

The Milton's I know of is in a light blue bottle and we used the stuff to sanitise baby bottle teats etc. Chlorine based judging from the smell and the not too distant memory of the many late nights feeding the young'uns with formula in Avent bottles...

the milton i got last time was in tablet form, and it dissolves in water, says it takes about an hour for the water its in to become sterile, youre only meant to use 2 tablets per 2 litres of water, but i chucked in loads of them
