I want to make Dr. Tom's Karmeliet Tripel, but to do so I need to make myself some candy sugar... and for that I need a sugar thermometer.

So, does anyone know where I can get one in inner Melbourne?

There is one in myer and house, it look like a fat thermometer.

House sells one for under $5 (picked one up the other day, handy little creature).

Pretty much any store that has home and cooking stuff should have one. e.g. Domestix
