is this possible

Post by bangers »

is there any such thing as an alcoholic cola? does it come in kit form? Can it be made by the following method:
By mixing cola cordial with the right amounts of sugar, water and yeast in a fermenter? and will I get bourbon and cola if I was to add a couple of flavour essences to the fermenter prime and bottle after fermentation just bouncing around the idea while my mash tun is doing its thing or have I got too much time on my hands!

If you have a keg setup just ferment sugar water with a clean yeast like S-33. Add the cordial and essence to taste in the keg.
Prost and happy brewing!

There used to be a fermentable cola ( alchoholic) sold at HB shops but i have not seen it for quite some time and from what i heard it was not too flash, i would reckon that kevnlis's suggestion would be very cidery/vinegary but i have not tried it.

And do you just use the Buderim mix one?
A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.

Actually I don't. I use dry yeast or pitchable/smack pack. But if you want to use slurry just add some nutrient...

Yes either Buderim or Bundy, but I do prefer Buderim.
