Danish Christmas brews

Hi everyone.

Please forgive me if I haven't found something already posted on the site, but I am a newby. (so you've gotta give me some cut, right?)

My son spent some time in Denmark a few years ago, and is doing his uni studies in Townsville. Mum and I live in Canberra, so we don't get to see him as much as we would like to.

As a surprise for his end of year break this year, I would really like to present him with some "replicas" of the Danish super "Christmas brews" such as Tuborg Julebryg (Tuborg Christmas Brew). These are a little heavier than the usual Tuborg style, and substantially higher in Alcohol content.

Does anyone happen to have a workable recipe for these beasts? (and if so, would they share it with me?)

Cheers all, and I look forward to meeting you all online.

The beer style sounds interesting, a special occasion beer.

I don’t have a recipe. But I will be keeping an eye out for responses to your post – perhaps we will both have a nice brew at Xmas to try.

I expect that temperature, at all stages, but certainly at fermentation will play a real part in the outcome. Luckily, you are in Canberra.
