Water treatment for cider

Post by jgtec »

There's loads of info out there about water treatment (hard/soft etc) for bitters, stouts and lagers which I use myself and it does make a big difference to taste, but can anyone share their thoughts about water treatment for ciders as I have never tried this. The water here is very hard and I am going to try a Black Rock cider kit. :?: Any wisdom anyone?
Cheers!

Hard water is not great for making cider.
