Beer erupts... what a bloody mess!

I just had my fermenter spew out the contents through the air lock, even though I had it in a sealed fridge with a frozen 3 litre milk container in with it...
How's everyone else's brew turned out after such a volcanic disaster?
I made a Little Creatures clone to put in my keg... which Mrs Clause bought me.

Ah yes, you had a very vigourous fermentation.
I've not had this happen with a pale ale such as a Little Creatures clone, but it regularly happens with my hefeweizens and dunkelweizens.
I don't use an airlock, I just gladwrap the top of the fermenter. If I have a blowout, I clean it up, and apply some fresh gladwrap, and let it go on its merry way.
If you want to use the lid and airlock, you need to consider using a blowoff tube.
Link here to give you some idea what that's all about, including a piccy.

Well this is probably the wrong thing to do but..
I make 60 liters at a time and in hot weather like it has been then,
I put in 1/3 of the yeast I normally use and that way it takes about 4- 6 days to finish instead of 2- 3 .. That way I don’t have massive amount of froth and foam.
You can also check out what this guy on you tube dose about it he calls this a blow off valve or something...
Defiantly looks like it would work anyway

I have a Coopers Lager can with 1kg Dextrose & 500g LDME and just the kit yeast going at the moment (a very eclectic mix I know...). The yeast was pitched at 28C and is currently sitting at about 24C (about 6 days in). My wort bubbled out of the airlock constantly for about the first 2 days, and I replaced the water in the airlock probably 5 or 6 times over that period.
Hopefully it should be fine...

I added the yeast on Sunday morning and this brew is still bubbling away beautifully.
Smells fine, and i didnt lose too much.
I bought a Little Creatures clone kit from the HBS at the Vic Market in North Melbourne. She said it's pretty close so once I get this into the keg (my first keeging effort) it's gonna be game on for the workshop bar and brewery.
Cant see me kegging for a few days yet though.
