Many thanks for that, I sort of thought it would be ok, with Lagers I'm on a learning curve and as time is needed for them sort of felt it best to ask the experts.The Diacetyl rest is very interesting, and the cure appears so simple, from what I read.
A quick question, if I bottle this when all appears ready to do so, will it "lager" in the bottle ?, I want to get a few lagers down this winter with the view of drinking next summer, time is no problem however I would like to get them 'right'. Am only using kits with good additives, ie: just the tin of brew and then quality malt,hops etc, ( a family member has a small brewery in Canberra who kindly sends me 'ingredients' all sorts of hops , yeast now grain (message there

) however I don't like to trouble him too much ) as I want to learn by practice and reading ,albeit without too many failures..
So, thanks again, one day, I will set up in the proper manner, just can't yet.. Lang
