Thought you find this amusing, have seen a couple of articles on brews done by inmates. Still makes you laugh, and at least no one was hurt and the guards didn't over react.

I tried one of the Amber Ales and was not impressed, it is brewed in New Zealend for ALDI. The small head I got when poured quickly dispersed and the beer tasted flat, it actually reminded me of a draught beer that had been left in the glass a bit long before drinking, I was hoping for a JS type ...

Yeh, seen them before, but you are still required you to make the beer before putting into those bottles. This machine is an all in 1 unit. You have no control with the flavor but has to better than commercial beer.
This unit would probably not appeal to most people on this forum but I can see some ...

Book on Partial and AG
Mid 2007 after my new house is completed and I have more room I am planning on moving to Partial then AG brewing. I was wondering if anybody could recommend some good reading for a K&K brewer who is looking to advance himself.

As far as I know they do, but to be honest I haven't had one in a while. My bottle local shop doesn't keep it anymore they said they never sold enough. They seemed to think cause it was called "India" that it put poeple off, maybe it does. The Coles and Safeway supermarkets in town don't sell it ...

James Squire is the only commercial beer I keep in the fridge, local bottleshop lets me mix my 6pack or slab. Not a big fan of the Golden Ale, but I like the Orginal Ale, Porter and Pilsner (more of a cross between and Lager and ale). )Haven't made it to thier 2 brewhouses in Melbourne but working ...

Stout Recipe
Hiyas,
I have only 1 prepared brew to go before I try my first stout/porter recipe, and looking at some tips.
Currently I have the following ingredients
1.7 kg Thomas Coopers Irish Stout
1 kg Morgans Master Blend Chocolat Malt
Will these go together and what else if anything should I add?

A few questions on stove top boils.
First off I have to say I love this site, everyone is really helpful. One day I hope I can answer peoples questions instead of just asking.
Ok, I have done 2 brews so far all the basic method as specified on the Kit cans. Am now ready to try my first stove top boil, I have purchased a 15lt pot ...

3 in 1 Fermenter
I have of those 3in1 25L fermenters that in a past life I used to make other things. I think the element in it is 1350W

I have been using anything that would hold beer for a while, found a bar accessory shop at a shopping centre in werribee and picked up a couple of 425ml headmaster glasses. When I got home I noticed that the bottom was course. Looked em up on the web to and found out the bottoms are specifically ...

Keeping Beer in green bottles
I was recently at a party and I had the pleasure to have a drink with several I suppose you could call them professional brewers/Chemists (most retired now). That in itself was a very interesting experience. One thing I did pick up was that storing beer in green bottles is bad for the beer, they did ...
