Re: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Hi guys, I want to add my two cents to the SNPA topic. I considered this beer my holy grail and at long last got a case (12 stubbies)to call my own.

From Holland through Grape and Grain. I agree with Kevinlis, fresh would be better, but until they hammer out a distribution deal here in Oz, it's all ...

Re: Returning a favor

A good drop, but I think there are better more unique beers in Australia. Admittedly the Golden Ale and Knappstein are probably the only two beers that have been suggested that really are fairly unique to themselves. The others are just good examples of common styles.

Agreed, but as they are used ...

Yet another one I haven't tried, I have been drinking home brew so long I haven't tried any new commercial beers. I will definitely have to try this on. Thank you.

Re: Returning a favor

My fav Aussie drops:

Knappstein
Matildas BoPils
Duke Lager
LCPA
JSGA
The Duke, I've never tried and I think I better, lagers usually disappoint me, but I have to try before I pass them over. Most of the ideas and tastings I've tried have been from here, I can't believe I haven't tried this one ...

Re: Returning a favor

Matilda Bay Bohemian Pilsener
Coopers Vintage
LCPA
JSGA

All nice and interesting beers.

Cheers

Boonie
Thanks Boonie, the pilsener was another one that slipped my mind. So many good aussie beers, it's hard to try and pick just a few. I just want to show them that there is good beer here.
Thanks ...

Re: Returning a favor

Get rid of the amber ale, its mutton dressed up as lamb and not a shadow of its former self. The others are very nice but what about something from the coopers range, either a dark ale or the stout? I assume pale and sparkling are available over there as my mates have never had troubles getting it ...

Re: Returning a favor

i hope they are sending it express... i think it needs to be refridgerated.

You could got the Pints of LCPA instead for novelties sake. you could send them LC Rogers instead of JSAA. but still stick with the GA and the Knappstein... they are rather unique bevvies..

if you have room you could ...

Returning a favor

Hi guys, I need your help.
A couple of friends from Texas are sending me case of Sierra Nevada and some Shiner Bock. I really want to return the favor and am putting together a package. Tentatively: A sixer of LCPA, a sixer of JSAA, a sixer of JSGA and maybe a four pack of knappstein.
Are there any ...

hey guys, just thought i'd leave some feedback, the ale has been in the bottles for a month now and i have tried it regularly and at first the strongest flavour was the munich grain, now at a month it has all melded nicely and i must say the amarillo is very subtle, i think it has a hard time ...

australian supplier of beer steins

hi guys, i am wanting to buy a couple of genuine beer steins. i have exhausted my local antique shops and op shops, admittedly, being a small country town this was only a dozen shops. a google search has only given me overseas suppliers and this was too expensive an option for me. and i just plain ...
