500.00 gm Roasted Barley (600.0 EBC) Grain 14.3 %
(in the 4l boil)
1.5kg Amber Liquid Extract (24.6 EBC) Extract 42.9 %
1kg Morgans Master blend Dark Crystal Extract (24.6 EBC) Extract 28.6 %
(both of these after the boil, due to pot size limiting boil volume)
20.00 gm Pride of Ringwood [9.10%] (60 min) Hops 21.0 IBU
10.00 gm Amarillo Gold [8.90%] (20 min) Hops 6.2 IBU
10.00 gm Amarillo Gold [8.90%] (10 min) Hops 3.7 IBU
1 Pkgs SafAle American Ale (liquid) (DCL Yeast #US56) [Cultured] Yeast-Ale

nar, 20min for flavor & 10min for aroma seemed to work pretty good (well, in a pale ale anyway!). Actually I might do 15gm for each rather than 10gm....

Ok changed my mind a little...
I went with 400gm of Roasted barley & 100gm of choc
Also, I have some cascade - should I add some of that too ya reckon?
About to start steeping the grain....
Edit: Screw it, backed off the PoR to 15gm @60min
10g ea Amarillo & Cascade @ both 20min & 10min

I like late additions of Amarillo in dark ales. I think it would go well in a stout

If/when I do it again I'd choose either amarillo or cascade, not both, but stacks more of whichever I choose - eg. 20-25gm of amarillo at both additions.
It did turn out pretty tasty as is.
