When you taste it by itself the honey flavour doesnt seem to be present.. but line it up next to another beer and you can smell it straight away... I found one in my cupboard from september last year and still had that honey ting

Hey thanks those links are great Subrew..

I cant generally taste a difference between priming sugars, but honey has an added aroma to it that brings out the honey flavour in the beer more.

Beez neez always depends on what youve had previously I reckon, and almost every bottle seems to taste different. The honey seems to dissipate quickly when on tap, and without that extra flavour there is very little left in the beer.

I have a kit amber ale in at the moment with 1kg of honey added. Been in 4 days and already has an alcohol content of about 6.7%... Smells great.. intial tasting awesome.. looking forward to it in a few months time..

I also did a honey wheat last year with 750gm honey.. wasnt so good in the first ...

Hey all, I am interested in bulk priming my latest batch with honey, how much do you guys reckon to chuck in to get good carbonation in 21L?

Ive been wondering about this aftertaste as well... I wouldnt say it is bad though.. kinda lingers on your tongue like cream does... strange tho.. so its the dextrose?
