Grolsch bottles
I've been on a hunt to collect as many empty grolsch bottles for my brewing as i can, mostly from recycling places, picked up 27 so far in addition to the 21 i already had. Anyway, has anyone ever seen a brown grolsch bottle before? Its exactly the same as the green swingtops, except with brown glass, and the label says 'Amber Ale'. I didnt know grolsch made amber ale

The bottle design is not unique to Grolsch, only the bottles marked "Grolsch" are indeed those from the same brew house.NTRabbit wrote:I've been on a hunt to collect as many empty grolsch bottles for my brewing as i can, mostly from recycling places, picked up 27 so far in addition to the 21 i already had. Although a number of regional variations to exist seasonaly in their native territories.

The paper label is still wrapped around the neck - its definitely a Grolsch. I've found two brews in brownn bottles on the dutch Grolsch website, but neither is an Amber Ale. One is the Premium Pilsener, the other is Noaber.Wimmig wrote:The bottle design is not unique to Grolsch, only the bottles marked "Grolsch" are indeed those from the same brew house.NTRabbit wrote:I've been on a hunt to collect as many empty grolsch bottles for my brewing as i can, mostly from recycling places, picked up 27 so far in addition to the 21 i already had. Note the different products on the English version of their website- http://www.grolsch.com/
and the Dutch one- http://www.grolsch.nl/
The Dutch get 15, 30 & 50 litre kegs to wash their drugs down with.
Salut!
