I have 20 and they aren’t for commerce!
I am a home brewer, for personal consumption.
I don't run a pub from my home.
My consumption runs to 1 longneck per day. On that basis, a 50 litre keg would last me over 2 months.
I prefer some more variety to my drinking than only 5 or 6 different brews a year. I brew about 12 to 14 brews a year, and I still don't get to brew all the variety I want because of my relatively limited consumption.
I'll stick to bottles, thanks all the same. I have no desire to get into kegging.

G'Day Doc,

Great Idea with the yellow drums for eskies, thanks for posting the pics up.

Best of travels for your trip to the ranges, another destination on my 4wding wish list.

Smurto, thinking about using that sort of set up for my first system, easy to move to parties, etc. With usually 1-2 brews going at once and another cold conditioning in the fridge, I'm getting sick of spending so much time bottling so I'd like to at least be able to chuck the house staples in kegs and have them ready for the next event/party whatever.

Back from another camping trip albeit a lot sooner than i had planned. The weather was about to turn nasty, thankfully we got forewarned by my partners old man who is a retired meteorologist. Made it out just in time, only just made it through Jamestown due to flash flooding.

Flinders Ranges are looking amazing after so much rain. We don't own a 4WD so many of the roads were still passable only in a 4WD but we still managed several walks with some breathtaking scenery and a large amount of R&R. Camped next to a creek not far from Brachina Gorge for a few nights then down to Wilpena Pound where we intended to stay for 3 nights but left after only 1.

The yellow drums get used for more than just camping, they are great for keeping beer cold at parties if i take an entire keg. It's always a conversation starter to rock up to a party and plonk a keg in the middle of the room and sit a fire extinguisher next to it

welcome back to civilisation doc,

Sorry to hear your trip got cut short, but its better to get out safe than be rained in with limited food / water.

Would a 4wd be something you'd be getting in the future?

lol your not wrong about a conversation starter with the drum and fire extinguisher, would certainly raise a few eyebrows hahah

Not interested in getting a 4WD. I can see how it would be useful in some places but for 99% of my life i can do without.

Travelled around Kangaroo Island and the Eyre Peninsula in the last 2 years in 2WDs without any problems.

Yeah, I used to take my old Commodore up into the mountains when my mates and I would go camping. Everybody else would be heading through the trails in their 4WDs and my 2WD Holden was keeping up almost perfectly. Ended up cracking the radiator and blowing a head gasket, but that was from completely unrelated circumstances :P

It's quite a nice pic but not great IMO, the sky is too grey and harsh. I still need to make some adjustments to it as I think the contrast is still out of whack. Was one of those days when it's overcast but still had enough glare to warrant sunglasses.

We were very fortunate as there has been so much rain up there in the past 3 months, some big floods and now that it is spring the flora and fauna are putting on a show. It's normally dry and dusty. Lost count of the numbers of kangaroos with joeys and emus with chicks.

Its funny you mention dry and dusty as its how i percieve it from the books and feature stories I've read.
Was suprised to see the green in the photo, I'm sure a bit of work could bring out a nice pic for framing.

I'm off to Bendethera Valley, in the Duea National Park this weekend for some camping / 4wding / drinking.
Hoping for clear weather and hoping the rivers arent to high.

Someone in the camp with OCD? Our all-male camps don't look that organised.
Off to the Vic high country this Friday for 5days with the boys, takin the young bloke this year (he should come home with a few new words for school use).
Nothing interesting to see here, move along.

Stig...?

Oh, I see what is causing the confusion - the shine from The Stig's head is actually from his helmet.

[EDIT: For the record, I'm not really interested in what anyone looks like, bloke. Neither here nor there to me. The only reason I commented in the other thread was to make the XXXX joke.]
