Lifes Frustations.
Lifes Frustations.
Post anything here regarding frustrations in life.. here's mine for the day
So its 16:15hrs and i'm still at work, which is quite odd for me.
Reason being that i'm waiting for a tow truck..
Workshop who did my timing belt, water pump and service last week didnt tighten the crank pulley nut and the whole thing almost let go on the drive way @ work. .faaaarrrk.
so now they are sending a truck to collect it and it'll be fixed tomorrow and yea.. pretty pissed off.
thankyou for listening.

Re: Lifes Frustations.
Golf today.
20 points on front nine (2 shots better than handicap).
9 points on back nine (9 shots worse than handicap).
Go figure.
To paraphrase Churchill:
Golf, never in the field of human endeavour has so much frustration been designed by so few for so many.

Re: Lifes Frustations.
Currently funemployed.
Looking for a job outside the main industry of your work history sucks balls. As does applying for university for next year as an old bastard. You have to keep telling them why you want to study. "Uh, I don't really - can you just give me the degree now? Save us both some time?"

Re: Lifes Frustations.
What you wanting to study Bum ?
Crank pulley coming loose !!!
Make sure they cover you for any near future leaks / vibrations mate, and hope like hell the stub on the crank isnt damaged.
I would be spewin !
Frustrations...
Hangin on a phone all day answering questions that are clearly answered in a manual that I spent countless hours writing
Ask first, read manual later - (but I'm propbably just as bad, so shouldnt whinge too much)...
Will be cheered up when I get home and keg a DSGA.

Beer numbs all zombies !!!
Re: Lifes Frustations.
Sounds good. I can do whatever it is you're asking me to do.
Promise.
Oh yeah, my sister and her son just moved in with us and he cries all night. It is only early days and I know he'll settle in but I haven't been sleeping real well already and don't push me 'cos I'm close to the edge I'm trying not to lose my head uh-huh-huh-huh.
Promise.
Not keen on going 3 years without pay and spending it with 20yo MMORPG playing virgins but I am looking forward to doing something I haven't been pushed into (i.e. as opposed to the entirety of my working life (family business)). Was more a post about the nature of study rather than the end result. Quite excited about it while trying not to get my hopes up (it looks kinda hard to get into the programs I want at my age without industry experience, but we'll see).Grog wrote: not sure if you're keen on this or being pushed into it ?

Re: Lifes Frustations.
Hey Warra,
The upside is your out there playing golf in the sunshine, having a bad score is a let down though hope next time your on the greens you pick up your handicap.
Hey Bum,
I got spots in Sydney if you were interested in risk management, only thing is you'd need certs within a few weeks.

Re: Lifes Frustations.
Ah uni, how i miss you.
I spent 9 years at uni and when i got my first real pay packet it felt weird. Particularly when i was working at a uni and doing basically the same 'work' as i had before as a student for a pittance. Looking back i don't know how i managed to live so well on $300 a week. Most of it was pissed against the wall
I seriously considered the course at Ballarat several months ago when it became increasingly obvious that i was only going to receive 6 month contracts rather than a full time position. Have stuck it out as i love my job just not the lack of job security.
Golf - one of the most frustrating yet enjoyable games. Thankfully for this occasional weekend hacker it only takes a decent tee shot, a good chip and a long put to keep me coming back despite the overall score!
And Bum, not all IT students/grads are 20 year old pimply face nerds with poor social skills..... Linky

Re: Lifes Frustations.
Exception proving the rule, DrS? Nah, I am looking forward to it but it is going to be pretty hard to convince the interview panel for the course I most want to be in that I'll be able to keep up. We'll see.
Cheers, RUMS. Very kind of you but Sydney is a bit of a hike. SWMBO moved away from her family so we could be near mine - a move would not go down well. Depending on your industry I'm probably halfway ticketed to that already though (got about 60% of a OH&S Cert IV in various tickets).
