What are you drinking now?
Re: What are you drinking now?
Congratulations, DrS.
Had lunch in a nice Brasserie near the Musee D'Orsay, washed down with a Grimberger (beautiful beer) and a Kronerburg (spelling ?).
A Nastro Azzurro with piza for dinner.
Went to the top of the Eiffel Tower this morning. Well worth it.

After 4 days slumming around Paris, we've finally mastered the Metro on our last day here.
Really enjoyed the Cafes and Brasseries, great food, great beers, not that expensive.
Off to Lille tomorrow.

James Squire Nine Tales Amber Ale. This is awesome, I'm loving it.
It's roasty and toasty, not like the other James Squire ales I have tried previously. If anyone has a good replica to try I would give it a go for sure.
Definately smashes the West End draught I had to drink at a mates wedding today
Congrats by the way, you know who you are
Cheers

I am in an internet café in Brugge. Brugge is a gorgeous old city.
The café also sells lots of different Belgian beers, so I am having a lovely time choosing what to take back to the hotel room to send me to sleep tonight.

Just stocking the fridge with some Dragon Stout clone, so I guess I'd say I'm drinking it soon. It should go down well while watching the Hawks get one back on the Cats tonight.

No.63 APA. Made with a Grain and Grape fresh wort kit
with 40g Cascade. Coming up to three weeks old, but magnificent. Even 'er indoors liked it!
Unfortunately the beer is far, far better than the Adelaide v West Coast game that I'm suffering through.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I need something to drown my sorrows after the insipid performance by the Crows (although two quarters were OK).
How good is SNPA?

At least ten goods, mate. After a large delay, the missus and I are off on our well belated honeymoon to the States at the end of this month and we're going to be spending two nights in Chico. 'What the hell is in Chico?' I hear you say - nothing much, just the Sierra Nevada Brewery, is all. I'll be taking lots of pics on the tour, chaps, and I'll make sure you all get to see the best bits.Oliver wrote: How good is SNPA?
Currently drinking my most recent EXB. Called it "The Battle of Britain" as everything went wrong whilst brewing it (urn died whilst ramping up to brew, causing me to drain off into three stock-pots and do the boil on the stove - which lead to three boilovers as I wasn't paying attention to the boil whilst trying to diagnose the urn's problem - then I managed to warp my hydrometer test tube as well, to boot.) Despite the nightmarish excapade that was it's brew day, it's turned out wonderfully! More bitter than my usual ESB's because I upped the hop amounts to counteract any potential lost hop utilisation in the smaller boil vessel and overdid it a bit, but that's just made it all the better!

Great work on the honeymoon, Bullfrog. You must have a very understanding lady. Although there has been talking of me and 'er indoors doing a bit of a beer tour up the US West Coast in Feb.

Mate, that's awesome. Hopefully the Honeymoon goes very well for you both. It should be one to remember well.bullfrog wrote: the missus and I are off on our well belated honeymoon to the States at the end of this month ................ Yes, we here at Homebrew & Beer are always happy to see pics of the best bits of lovely couples honeymoons.
Good Luck to you both, and definately don't do anything that I would do.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Im drinking a brand new Morgans Golden Saaz Pilsner, finished fermenting and into Keg on Friday and carbonated for 48 hours, first impressions a bit disappointing, taste is a bit bland although the bitter pilsner taste is there, is a cloudy golden colour, I wasnt sure what to expect but it goes down ok.
Perhaps I should give it a bit more time to settle after carbonating ??
Anything will do after watching the Dockers get a thumping.

Wow, just wow. I have so many nice beers now.
I don't even drink the same on beer twice in a night. I really dig this brewing game.
