Pure randomness

Post by rotten »

Is randomness a word?

I thought it might be fun to start a random thread. Talk about anything you like, no matter what the subject (within Oliver and Geoff guidelines of course) or ask that question that you you may think doesn't deserve it's own thread, but you are dying to ask it.

To start, I'm getting very tired from working 12+ hr days seven days a week, and no end in sight
My oktoberfest is going down a treat :)~

That sort of stuff.

Cheers

By the sound of it you work for yourself. work for an employer- less stress, less hours, and usually more money. 8)

But to add to your thread I wish I did more with my life before i had kids. I'm only 25 and have 3 all under 4 years old. But on the other hand I s'pose I probably wouldnt have started brewing. :)

You did start early young fella. Just think though, you will be 45 and (provided you don't keep churning them out) they will all be 20+ and well able to care for themselves while you catch up with all that disgraceful stuff you should have done as an indolent youth!

I have worked for myself for over 15 years and couldn't go back to working for someone else. I can work whatever hours I want and the only time I have to go out is for the occasional appointment.

What really tires me out is teenage children (girls in particular)

If I hear another ad for a retail outlet or some other institution with the claim "OPEN SEVEN DAYS" , I'll scream.

They haven't all been open for 7 days. I know for a fact most have been operating for a lot longer, although most don't deserve to.

If they mean "OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK", why don't they just darn well say so?

It's funny how the little things just get to you hey Warra. I think the older we get the more these little things can annoy us.

Warra, I bet another thing that annoys you is signs on emergency exit doors in shopping centres and the like that say "This door is alarmed". Alarmed about what? Surely they mean "This door is fitted with an alarm :D

I have the word "Tiny" tattooed on my penis.

But when I'm aroused it says "Tinys delicatessen, open seven days a week, fifty two weeks a year"

Idiot drivers sitting at 10 to 20 kph under the limit, and who are convinced that by holding up a long queue of traffic behind them they are doing road safety a wonderful favour.

If it was legal to fit a bazooka on the front of my car, it would get more than the occasional use.

Add to this 1. people who are clueless when it comes to overtaking.

Their procedure appears to be: (i) Drive right up to their ass so as almost to collide (ii) Move into right hand lane as fast as possible so that you almost lose control, (iii) Accelerate ever so slowly, as you come along side, try not to completely match the speed of the car you intend to overtake as this will infuriate lob who is stuck behind. Go about 0.5km faster. (iv) Eventually after 5 minutes or so when you are at least 500m in front of the left hand lane car move over to the left and allow Lob to pass. (v) If Lob does some hand signal, just give him the finger, wind window down and shout "Not my fault there's only two lanes on this stretch of the Hume. F**king impatient Canberra driver."

and

2. People who don't know the Three Second rule. Seriously, 100km per hour on the Tuggeranong Parkway and 2m behind the car in front. Pretty normal sight in Canberra. "Wa" Second Rule?

I hate it when I go to Port Macquarie on holidays and angry Dutchmen sit on my arse while I'm trying cruise around and stare out the window. :D

I hate SMS acronyms but I actually just lol'd.

And to Lob: all of those points you made become all the more fun when you're a motorcyclist. A wise man and fellow two-wheel enthusiast once explained it to me that whilst he may ride quite fast at times, he's not speeding; he's running for his bloody life!
