Currently drinking at the pump house. They have 3 of their own beers on tap, I went with the pilzner which is quite nice, caramelly and malty with subtle bitterness. Their honey porter is like beezneez on steroids, very nice indeed. So many beers to chose from in the fridges, very good place to trial some different beers in bottle.

Trialed a beer from the fridge and picked out a galaxy Ipa. its made by bridge road brewery and its called galaxy single hop ipa. All I can say is delicious!

Nice creamy head to start, the fruityness of the galaxy takes over and the bitterness finishes like any ipa. Got to say this is quite a nice drop!

Couple of CPA's. I haven't been able to session these for a while, but I'm now on my fourth and feeling smashed.

Suppose heavy tramadol and alcohol are a bad mix (for those following the story, the neck MRI showed that I have a couple of bulging discs causing a stenosis to the spinal canal (the canal that the spinal cord runs through is significantly smaller than it should be) which is why my left arm is still dead and I can't turn my head to the right without bringing on the migraines - moral of the story: never forget how to navigate stairs!)

Medication has helped with the headaches but is damn potent. First day I took them I'd not have been able to tell you my own name (that and I was convinced I was a pirate. Gave 'preggo' quite the shock when I yelled "Aargh" at her when she got home from work...)

Sounds similar to what my cousin has been through over the last few years (minus the piracy (although I'm pretty sure he stole a few movies in that time)). Here's to a speedy recovery.

And less medication soon.

Here's to a rapid and good full recovery, bullfrog. Time will usually resolve bulging discs, but it's a real nuisance in the meantime. You have my sympathy.

Haven't had neck problems personally, but I did end up having lumbar spinal surgery when I was only 19 to resolve a massive disc protrusion. I have a fair idea of your discomfort.

I still can't brew, I'm a winged rooster with my left arm in a sling after shoulder surgery 5 weeks ago. Absolute pain doing everything one handed, only sleeping on one side, and not being allowed to drive. Mrs warra is also getting sick of having me around the house all the time, instead getting out from under her feet.

Bulging disc doesn't sound like much fun, hope the recovery is short and you're back to full health in no time.

Been drinking a blend of my coopers dark ale clone and an experimental hop extract IPA. Going down very easily, the fresh hop hit of the hop extract, some of which I added to the keg, is addictive. 8-)

Have had a couple of Stubbies of Little Creatures PA on the weekend (don't like it ), but I will suffer through the other 4 stubbies.
also tried a couple of FAT Yaks, This tastes very simular to the Home brew I have on tap at the moment, but smells quite florally compared to mine, should pour the FY into a glass and see if there is a colour difference. ( Don't mind this one)

Saw my surgeon this morning. My arm is out of the sling, after 6 weeks, and I'm allowed to drive again, but only an automatic. Just as well we have one of each.

I asked him what would happen if I rolled over in my sleep onto the shoulder he repaired, and he replied: "You'll wake up". Something to look forward to.

Still no brewing, as I can't do very much with the left arm for the time being. Rehab from shoulder surgery is a slow process.

Hope you are recovering well, bullfrog.

Well after a few 100 lashes I'm now drinking one of my double batch apa's from last friday. Grain to brain in under 5 days, it was even cc'd for a day Awesome :)~
The other half is still cc'ing with 65gm of cascade flowers added to secondary (thought it was chinook but it's not) smells amazing either way.
Cheers

Stella. The real one. Found it at my local IGA (Rivett, ACT.) I was shocked! Normally they just have BUL crap for around $22.

Anyways, it was on special for $17.99 and I'm thinking to myself: it's 80% more expensive, but is it 80% better than the $10 a six-pack Aldi Schloss German Pils? Nope, about the same. Both so-so drinkable but fairly dull Euro lagers.

I wish you could find good IPAs and American Pales more easily at non-rip-off prices : (

Just finished the last Brew Dog 5AM Saint og the 4pk, local bottlo chain is dropping the whole Brew Dog line and clearing it out for $11 a 4pk! Could hardly leave it in the fridge at that price.

Absolutely lovely beer, a great smokiness to it with a bit of lingering bitterness to make you want more and more, needless to say I am going back tomorrow to see if they have anymore left.

Now I'm onto my modified (slightly) Earles Stone & Wood, crystal clear and delicous, bitterness is up on the original from the extra hop additions I made still get those tell tale Galaxy flavours coming through towards the end though. Might have to make this again shortly, once I free up some bottles.
