What are you drinking now?

Looks great smurto. Full Brett ferment or partial?
Re: What are you drinking now?
Full brett. Tasted a few brett IPAs recently that I liked. Also enjoyed the brett beer at Russian River brewery.barls wrote:Looks great smurto. Full Brett ferment or partial?
No sweaty horse/barnyard aromas. Tropical esters with a slightly tart finish.

Called in at Murray's Brewery in Port Stephens yesterday.
Had a lovely Big Wednesday IPA with lunch.
Sorry, no pic, as I was too busy on the mobile trying to buy a house.

I'll be living close by from within the next fortnight after we move from Port Mac.
I'm sure we'll have an opportunity to catch up some time in the future.

Can't say I'm not a little envious Guru.
That looks like the kind of place anyone would rather be.

It is a pretty good spot. Actually on my fathers property about 20 mins from Mildura.
Re: What are you drinking now?
Isn't it fire ban season?
First glass of our first attempt at a single malt whiskey. Still very young (6 months) and could do with more peat but I'm happy to drink it neat. This is ageing in a whiskey bottle with oak dominoes, the leftovers after filling a 10L barrel. Barrel whiskey is ageing much slower and picking up much less colour.
A few more trials on the go with varying grists and different oak but learning so much each time.

A mocha robust porter, a nice drop with the cooler nights. This is the unoaked version. 10 brewers got together and fill a 100L oak barrel (ex Yalumba Octavius).

My latest offering - an AG Australian Pale Ale. Made with Cluster rather than the dreaded Pride of Ringwood. Tastes like a malted-up Cooper's Green.
