The Brewing Network- 9/4/05

Post by fstbttms »

Well brew fans, we've got a bit of a surprise for you this week! Due to a conflict in scheduling with Moonlight Brewing, who was supposed to be our guest this week, but has been rescheduled, we are pleased to bring back Jamil Zainashef, one of the most award winning homebrewers on the planet. Jamil will be joining us in the studio this week, hopefully with some of his incredible homebrew, and we will be discussing his entire fermentation process. So get your fermentation questions ready, and he can answer all of them, and join us Sunday at 5 p.m. Pacific time for another great Brewcast. Oh, there will probably be some laughter in there somewhere too...even if it's just at how brew-stupid Brewcaster Justin can be.

As always, commercial-free. You will not be asked to buy anything. Just tune in, hang out in the chat room while listening if you like and have a good time. It's all about the beer.

You know, if might help if you put in an equivalent Australian time into your posts. Or at the very least UTC/GMT. I assume you're talking US Pacific time? How would anyone know this from your post?

Australian Eastern Standard Time is what the majority of this country's population is currently on.

I'm with that, put it in GMT, I have no idea what time the show is on at, or what day for that matter.

I appreciate the input. That's a great idea, including GMT in the posts. I will do that in all future posts. The show originates in the San Francisco Bay Area in the US and while most of the over 80 forums, newsgroups and mailing lists that I promote the show on have primarily American users, there are certainly enough outside the US (Austrailia, New Zealand, Great Britain, South Africa and Canada) that including GMT would be of great benefit. Thanks again for the idea.

P.S. The show airs live (if I've done the conversion correctly) Mondays at 0100 UTC. Of course, if catching the The Brewing Network Show live is not convenient, past shows are available for download as mp3 files at http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com

I hope you'll give it a listen. Thanks again!

Cheers,
Matt Peterson for The Brewing Network
