Yeast in Coopers Canadian Blonde

Post by Paul Bennett »

Can anyone tell me whether the yeast supplied with Coopers Canadian Blonde is lager or ale? I am about to make a quaffing stout and want to use the yeast I farmed from my recent batch of Canadian Blonde.
Thanks.

Paul,

It's an ale yeast. Same as comes with the regular (Original Series) Cooper's stout, I believe.

There's a complete list of the Cooper's yeasts here: http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/forum/vi ... .php?t=571

Cheers,

Thanks, Oliver. Now, can you pull this article off the website? I looked further down, and this has all been discussed by others. Sorry.

For some unknown reason, I had a brain fart and figured it was a lager yeast for a minute. What a suprise when it came to firing up the batch, oh well, guess it will be a pale ale
