Can we be sure? Apparently, we are well overdue for another flip of the magnetic poles.

Yes, well aware of that, actually presented a paper on paleo magnetism back in geology days.

I have been preparing for the switch for 15 years now. I will also propose that there will be a switch in the direction that your toilet flows when it drains after the switch occurs so everyone will know what happened. At least it will be an easier drive to go North after, it will all be down hill.

Cheers lads, will know where I stand after the BIG GAME .
when the captain is on the bridge and all will be well
with the world again .
PS. are EAGLES bigger than SWANS ? and is it an omen that
our state brewery is "SWAN BEER".
I bet Dogger says Canadian swans are bigger
( and can probably prove it ).

I have seen Eagles and Swans.

Not sure I would want to live on the difference, Both have nasty temperments and neither can sing. You don't get many eagles on the golf course but I am always treading in swan shite

But if push comes to shove I'd rather see Sydney win.

More importantly, c'mon Tigers in the League semi's against St george next weekend.
How could you prefer to watch five blokes trying to push four blokes up three blokes arseholes, in preference to a skilled game like Aussie Rules?
The only "rules" in the Aussie Rules, is in the name. Different skill sets in both games. Don't follow the AFL but will tune in to see the Swans hopefully win.
Go the Tigers on Saturday evening. Seems that too much sport will be barely enough....!!!!

That was how a Grand Final (of any code) should be even to the last seconds it could have gone either way. It was so tense, I put my drink down lest I spill it. In the end though, Sydney (ie: My team) prevailed.

I'm off now to get a kebab.

Cheers,

Greg.

Dogger, I'm crying again and up to my neck in Swan shit.
Alas alackaday, the bloody Swans won ( ever so only just though )
what a year lost the Ashes to England & the grand final to the Swans !!
think I must consider emigrating to Canada. ( on second thoughts I
would probably lose my way there as well )
think I will stay put and have a few beers instead .

If Barry Hall had been wiped out for that piddly little tap, Aussie rules might as well pull down the goal posts and put up netball rings! What a load of noise over nothing, 7 bloody umpires on the ground, none of them thought anything of it at the time, so the media pull one little pissy incident out of the game and try and make a fedral issue over it, I am not a Swans supporter but I do love a good HARD game of footy, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Sanity prevailed!! I detect some sour grapes there somewhere.

Dogger,

It was the closest grand final in 30 years (the last time it was so close it was a draw, so they had to come back and replay it the following week).

To put it in context, the Swans won by a kick and a Swans player took a mark in front of the Eagles goal with just seconds remaining. If the Eagles had marked the ball, chances are the Eagles would have won the game with a kick after the final siren.

It was a pretty amazing game.
