dry hopping when racking

Post by lucky »

hey all,

i noticed a larger wasn't the most flavoursome out of the
fermentor so i dry hopped (literally threw willamette 25g pellets)
into 15l cubes when racking.

i have never dry hopped like this.

the pellets floated and then dissolved at the surface creating
a foam. 1 day later and the foam is still there with pellet
pieces in it.

any ideas on what to do? can i leave it? shall i slowly mix it in
with a spoon?
ask and you shall know

Should all go to the bottom after about a week , no don't mix it as you don't want any oxidization . If you leave for about 2 weeks it will clear up and leave a green crud at the bottom of the cube.
I dry hop like making a cup of tea . Place hop pellets in a large teacup, fill the cup with boiling water , let it sit for 3 minutes , and pour all the contents in the cube .
