I'd agree with the Heritage Pale Ale and if you didn't want it so dark it works really well with 1kg liquid light malt and 150 g Maltodextrin.

Ok , there is the cheap can thats Coopers Pale Ale , about $9.50, and in the Heritage Range [$13] there is a pale ale called Australian pale ale.NTRabbit wrote:Heritage Pale Ale?
There's a Heritage Lager, and an Australian Pale Ale, which one did you mean?
Also, maltodextrin is dried corn syrup, used to improve the head and mouthfeel without altering the flavour.
So its the more expensive one , and just use a bit of Dex , not Malto, to lighten it a bit and retain a good OG as the kit says to use 1.5kg of liquid malt and a bit of dex. All depends on how much alcohol you want to end up with.
No, you are wrong. There is only one can in the Coopers range with Heritage on it, and thats the Premium Selection Heritage Lager. There is only one Pale Ale in the entire Coopers range, and thats the International Series Australian Pale Ale. Now, the Premium Selection range also contains the Australian Bitter, the Traditional Draught and the Sparkling Ale - which one of those are you mistakenly calling the Australian Pale Ale?Anonymous wrote: Ok , there is the cheap can thats Coopers Pale Ale , about $9.50, and in the Heritage Range [$13] there is a pale ale called Australian pale ale.

To settle this, I had a look at the Cooper's site.
Check out http://www.coopers.com.au/homebrew/ and you'll see that there's the Premium Selection Heritage Lager and the International Series Australian Pale Ale.
No Heritage Pale Ale to be had, sorry
