yup - use it all the time - particularly after ginger beers and things which tend to lurk in the fermenter [chicken beer for instance] be careful of how you dispose of the water [eg i wouldn't tip it on the tomatoes] but other than that you should be right
in related matters i have just finished reading "what einstein told his chef pt.2" in which there is a discussion on how to remove red wine stains form rugs etc - the writers suggestion is laundry detergents with oxygen peroxide in them - next time i stain myself i intend to try a little oxyper
