...and which party/candidate (in which country) did you last vote for?

I work in financial services, and although I live in Australia, I'm actually British so the last party I voted for were the Liberal Democrats in the UK.

Bottle shop manager. Although I'm recovering from knee surgery so I've had the last 11 weeks off.

It appears I'm in the minority here (although majority in the country) as I am a Liberal supporter. Always have been, probably always will be. Unless they introduce an additional massive excise on alcohol!

Work: Journalist (sub-editor actually, but no one knows what we do so it's easier to say journalist). In case you're wondering, sub-editors are the ones that make journalists' copy legible, take out the rubbish, correct all the spelling errors and write headlines that bear no relevance to the story.

Politics: Not telling

Primary Teacher
(some days I think I should say Lion Tamer or prison officer or marriage counsellor or maybe sovial worker)

politics, well lets say yes to that and leave it be, it's a bit like religion, not something that should be discussed in public. They lead to fights and wars!!!

Hi

I have just come on board and find it fasinating that most people on here at least at first glance seem to be Aus and in a interesting range of jobs.

Politics and Xmas ..... Humbug. If your not willing to become actively involved, tear up the paper, turn off the telly and enjoy life with a home brewed beer.

Manager of the graphics section of a printing company (although MOST days I think I should say Primary Teacher). Some days it's a #$%@ of a job, but most days it's pretty cool. The $'s are good and it does give me free domain hosting and plenty of time to browse this forum.

As for politics, if the Monster Raving Looney Party ran in Australia I'd vote for them.

Sago,

My feelings are hurt, Toc H Lamps, didn't they get there name from Talbot House and the original Talbot House is in Poperigne, Belgium. I would remind you they are focal points LOL

I work for the government and im not telling as what.
As for voting i think there all crooks so i wrote this on my voting paper.

Over fed
Under worked
Over payed
Could'nt lie straight in bed

Ok so my little message may not reach a politician, but it may have given one of of the vote counters a chuckle.

Hi guys,

I deleted the name of the dumb and dim Labor candidate from a post above.

I'm not really keen on getting my arse sued off for defamation :)

Cheers,
