Homebrew or microbrew???

When offering people one of my brews to taste, I am always battling to overcome people's perception of "homebrew" (Some people have long and bad memories!!) I just wondered if we could or should make a concerted effort... starting in this forum... to "re-brand" what we do as "microbrew" (As Coopers already do for their kits!!) So it's time for a poll!!!
I know this raises a lot of issues.... Oliver and Geoff will have to change the name of the website for a start!!
What does everyone think??

naw, microbrew has the connotation that it is being brewed to be sold.

And besides, usually a few sips of your best stuff and any "bad memories" of homebrew disappear.

It is a homebrew. The rest can take it or leave it, I'd prefer they left it, that leaves more for me. But, alas, most take a curiosity sip and they are sold, and I have to share. (But I do get to tell them aaallllll about it

stick with homebrew, after all that's where we create our masterpieces!

The microbrew idea reminds me of the U-Brew-it style place where you go in mix the bits and walk away and let some one else have the fun of watching and testing, only to go back at the nominated time and bottle. NO fun in that!

What I do is homebrew. I might say micro brew if I had 316 stainless bottom syphoning fermentors, stainless plate chillers, pump and microswitched steam jacketed Lauter tons, fully automated CIP etc etc. (one day, I am getting excited thinking about)

Yep, lock in homebrew. Microbrew to me just sounds too wanky. As for people turning their noses up at homebrew, either they taste it and get a pleasant suprise (normally), or they stick their heads in the sand and in their cans of VB or the like and live life like that.

I'm for homebrew, for most of the reasons above.

Homebrew.

To me Microbreweries are small scale commercial breweries at the local pub. Next we will want to call it "craft brewing"
