Glass sizes and names

Post by shaun.jarvis »

Hi again,

Can anyone help solve a long standing, lets call it a "discussion" about the types and size of beer glasses.

I am from SA and the girlfriend is from WA.

We would love to know sizes of the common beer glasses that you get at the pub, mainly scooners and middies, but it would be great to find out what all the different names are and sizes of all types of glasses from around the country.

Thanks again

Shaun

When I worked in SA back in the 70's a butchers was 6oz,a glass was 7oz,a schooner was 10oz,and a pint was 15oz.The old timers told me that the gov. reduced the sizes instead of putting up the taxes.
