Guys,
For me it has to beer, bourbon, wine ('wanker' ith a small w). Coffee also rates fairly high on my list but have cut right back of late as I have given up the smokes and used to enjoy one with a coffee.
Oh yeah and lets not forget water I drink that to ..................... but only in beer
Cheers

No I haven't, but its been my experience that all bourbons just arent smooth enough for me. Thats why I like JD, the extra filtration really brings out the best in it.Boozer wrote:Just like beers, there is a vast difference in qualities of bourbon. I had a similar experience, only with milk liquors. Just the smell of a Chocolate Mudslide or Cowboy is enough to make me queasy now (not that I was ever particularly fond of them. Something about milk and alcohol, it just doesn't seem right).goatsby wrote:Drunk a bottle of my mums Mcwilliams Cream Cooking Sherry when i was 17, spewed up, never drunk spirits or wines again

i've been getting into the white wine recently
most whites haven't really impressed me before (rieslings & chardonnays mainly) but on a recent road trip (consisting of many many wine tastings) through mudgee, the clare valley, the barossa, mclaren vale, & the limestone coast i've, much to my surprise, found a liking for some sauv. blancs, pinot gris, & viogniers..
so i guess that makes me a wanker
...but i/we already knew that

anything else besides beer
I just love everglades black sambuca, its rich and liqeur like.Cant drink any wine anymore because i get acid guts from the stuff.Homebrew doesnt do that to me,neither commercial beer,so i,ll stick to the good stuff, beer or sambuca.

I'll have the occasional red, but only when the beer runs out, or I have a serious cash shortage.
Since a bottle of Mississippi moonshine at 16, can't touch spirits for very long. (ten straight vodka's in 2000, and a headache until 2001 only reinforced my personal prohibition)
Looks to me like there's no one out there who has sworn off beer after a heavy night.

Guess I am a wanker then. I love both red and white, I collect and covet Single Malt Whisky, and of course beer of all kinds. You can shove Vodka right up your arse though, my wife is Russian and I made a c@#t of myself on it at a family do. Just thinking of it almost makes me fill my pants full of rusty water. Will try most anything else though. Evolution did not give us a curious brain for nothing....
I drink to make other people interesting...
first and foremost beer...but.
I do like a good Pinot so that puts me in the wine wanker catagory. I like the diversity in wines as much as I like the diversity in beers.
On some nights I've been known to hit the Chilli infussed vodka (that'll clear your sinus'!) but I usually steer well clear of spirits...apart from the morning after Bloody mary with a shot of vodka and a shot of chilli vodka...yum!
