Hello all,
New to HB and have learned heaps reading through all the old posts here.
I've been thinking about getting a cube to rack into after reading the many posts on the sometimes controversial topic of racking. The only thing that stopped me buying one today was looking at the small little cap on top and thinking about how I would clean it out.
Are cubes like this difficult to clean out after use? I was a bit concerned that without being able to reach inside and scrub any crud out cleaning might be a drama.
Thoughts from any cube users?
Cleaning cubes?
I have no idea about these cubes of which you speak, however, I do use big glass wine-making fermenters and the top has a hole big enough only to fit abung in.
I've never had a problem cleaning since I just pop in a dishwasher tablet and fill with hot water. Mind you I only use those due to th ering around the top left by the 'krausen' (?)

Ended up buying a 25L cube for $20 from Bunnings but I'm thinking now it wasn't the wisest choice in terms of cleaning and also in light of a proper pail/fermenter not costing much (if any) more. Not too worried though as I figure I can still put it to use for bulk priming and it won't need much cleaning.
