Great Intercontinental Pub Crawl 2006
Yes, against all good reason the Pyssedas gang are once again organising an Intercontinental Pub Crawl this year, last year the good people of this fourm were brilliant in their participation with more than 30 members getting together in melbourne, and more around the country and indeed the world. [check here for posts on this forum for last year's crawl if you are new to us - http://homebrewandbeer.com/forum/viewto ... sc&start=0 ]
All up we had over 100 pubs, in 16 countries on 6 continents drinking on the 28th of May - and this year we are determined to have our final continent - Antartica on board
And of course we will again be producing pub crawl t-shirts this year listing all of the venues on the back - prices will be posted a little closer to the date
And what is the date? Saturday 27th of May 2006.
come check out the site for more information - http://www.geocities.com/pyssedas/crawl_2006.html or mail us at pyssedas@yahoo.com
we look forward to catching up with all of our friends from last year who are still around, and to meeting many more new friends
Get involved!

Can we maybe incorporate the 2 ideas of the T-SHIRTS or maybe seek sponsorship for the Pub Crawl from O&G???

Mr Sparrow - A Canberra Contribution would be excellent - we didn't have one last year, it was the only captial city other than Darwin not to put in an effort - we would gladly name you Canberra ambassador
T-shirts: Yes! Huzzah - Admittedly it took us until Pyssedas's 5th anniversary to produce a shirt, but we now have three successful t-shirt editions under our belts, but we don't wish to steal the thunder of those who are putting in good work to organise shirts from here
Sponsorship from O&G - last year [if my hazy memory recalls correctly] Oliver donated a dim sim from the South Melbourne market to me - more than that i dare not ask - if everyone spreads the word for the crawl the production costs get spread pretty widely and they don't turn out to be that expensive

Excellent stuff my queensland friends,
Last year we had two crawls going in brisbane on the day - one of which was in constant SMS contact with us - i believe it to have been an excellent time conducted mainly by boat! Huzzah!
North Queensland would be a valuable addition as well, i hear you don't mind a beer or two up that way

melbourne
the melbourne venues are currently up for debate - last year we did south melbourne ending in the city, the two leading crawls at the moment are prahran [sp?] to richmond, or north melbourne to city
potential participants are welcome to make suggestions

Aussie Claret,
we have one well into the planning stages for the Gold Coast.
Outline is a number of drinking holes in Southport starting from and including lunch. Move to Surfers late afternoon, to include at least the Belgian Beer Cafe (hope we have some money left, they charge like wounded bulls there
), culminating with steak and Guinness at the Darcy Arms. Dispersal at your leisure, by whatever means you arrange (blue light taxis are pretty easy to get around Surfers late in the evening
).
About 6 of us so far. Will keep this forum posted on developments.

Good to see a very high level of organisation on the gold coast - if only our good friend the northern nimble drinking monkey in brisbane could match your high standards...
