Stout question

Post by mikey »

Am making this ATM

Coopers Stout
500g LME
500g DME
200g oats (heated/ ledft to stand for 10 min/ strained)
12g Goldings (boiled for 10 minutes)

My question is should I add 250 malto-dextrin to improve head or will the oats do that?

mikey,

It should be fine if you run with it as is, unless you've got 250g of maltodextrin you need to get rid of, in which case chuck it in.

Short answer, cant go too far wrong either way.

Cheers,

Guaranteed you'll have a very good, heady stout mikey aslong as youve got a good glass.

Bottom line is a crap glass will ruin a good beer. Some brewers dont appreciate their beers because they drink them from dud glasses.
