I had a few pilsners down at the Little Creatures brewery in Freo a coupla weeks ago and decided that I'd go a carton (since I've mainly been drinking homebrew for the last few months), and I must say that this beer is unbelievably good. Best beer in Australia perhaps! Agreed?
I was drinking some free LC pilsner on thursday arvo (free beer at uni is usually vb and draught...not last week!!) It didn't strike me as being very bitter at all which i thought was a bit odd for a Pilsner but it still goes down an absolute treat, very nice brew.
Lebowski, tried the Bohemian at the Freo Beerfest - yeah not bad at all, but my taste buds still reckon the LC one's better. Might have to give the JS pils a go!
I prefer the St Arnou Pilsener over the Matilda Bay & Little Creatures. Both just lack hop flavour in my opinion.
The new Blue Tongue Pilsener is a nice one too.

Im with you Joel...I love Little Creatures...I reckon its awesome. It has an unusual taste...but once youve finished the first you are definately ready for more!
I've tried the LC Pilsner several times at the brewery and was extremely disappointed each time. I found it thin and insipid, and not remotely pilsner-like. Admittedly the last tasting off tap at the brewery was about two years ago, so it might have improved since then.
I have also had it in the bottle recently, and found it to be pleasant, but I don't think that even at a stretch you could describe it as a pilsner.
It's just not bitter enough or malty enough. "Lager" would be a more apt description, surely?
Must agree with Oliver that it is much more like a European Lager, than a Pilsener. Although considering much of the Australian competition for a Pilsener, e.g Reschs, Tooheys, Little Creatures do give a far more convincing take of it.
Matilda Bay Bohemian, is much a better Aussie representation of a true Pilsener.
