Mexican Cerveza

Post by Wassa »

I ahve noticed that a few members have brewed this and either have it on tap or aredrinking it from the bottle.

I am about to put it down with Coopers BE2, as per the instructions on the can.

I am wondering what it is like? Should I add some finishing hops or just wait 3 months and drink it with lime?

Any feedback appreciated.

Wassa,
I made mine which was pretty good, comment from non home brewer "the best beer I've had whilst in Australia".

Was Cooper mexican Cerveza, 500g dextrose, 700g LDME, 20g Cascade hops, Saflager W34/70.

End result a very nice lager, heavier than a cerveza due to the amount of LDME but not too heavy for a lager, refreshing, clear light golden yellow.

Cold fermented, racked and cold conditioned but didn't take too long to become very drinkable 2 weeks CCing.

I used Cascade to give a citrus taste which wasn't over powering. They were added for short boil.

Wassa,

I have laid down three of these buggers now and the results have been very encouraging. they have all developed nicely and after conditioning in fridge for two weeks and polished off after a minimum of six weeks I am very happy with the result.

I put them down using 1 KG of the Brewiser Ultra Brewusing kit yest and nothing else.

Will be certainly putting down another couple before the ed of winter for the summer time for sure.

I put one down with BE2. Is a bit bitter. May sit the lot in the fridge for 2 weeks. See how it goes. I always hold my brews for a months and check on them every so often to see if they've improved. Inevitable, they do.

Don't be sorry, it is Light Dry Malt Extract.
