I'm generally a light drinker either but when the occasion forces me to I reckon a Tooheys Blue is not bad.
I was at the footy on Sunday and had to drink light and they only have Hahn Premium Light. It was awful but couln't bear the queue to go back and get something else.

Thats a big call on the blue Terry. Cascade light about the best I have tried.
Were all here drinking beer, drinking beer without a fear

Yep, its a big call but I have had a sheltered life. I am generally OK with the Tooheys beer, except Red, that stuff is horibble. Anyway, Blue is better than Westend Light, but I also agree that Cascade is also a decent drop.
I would say Cascade Light as a "bugger, I'm driving" beer. If I start on light & don't drink a full strength then Cascade seems OK. More OK to guzzle down ice cold on a hot day.
Just this week I tried a Moonlight from Grand Ridge Brewery. Great flavour for a mid-strength. It's my new fave low alc beer.
Someone wil shoot me but when I was in a US territory a couple of years back we had a typhoon go through and water was a little scarce. Being Aussies we didn't think much of the impending cloud of doom and bought about 3 cartons of Bud lite each. Drank them while the storm went through and destroyed the place. A carton a day of this stuff was my diet and didn't feel the slightest bit pssed at any point. Anyway in short the bud lite didn't seem to bad, had much more flavor than the bud heavy. Still from memory wasn't a bad ultra lite beer.
Mate of mine drinks light beer,
i don't like it and therefor don't keep it in the fridge.
when he's over and wants a beer i simply drink a 1/4 from the bottle and add water, and it tastes just like a commercial light beer.
When the Yanks bring out a 'Light' beer, it usually doesn't refer to alcoholic strength. It refers to low-carb, or 'diet' beer. I tended to stick to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale whilst over there, not a bad drop. (though admittedly, not a 'light' either).
