Hi, I just put up a post very recenty on this phenomenon. I have exactly the same thing happening with some of my batches.

Aussie Claret, I resent your "It's yeast, you clowns" comment because it isn't simply normal yeast sediment. This is occuring in bottles that have been stored still & perfectly upright for over 6 months. How much longer are you suggesting one waits for this to settle? In fact the particles are climbing higher on the bottle wall over time, not settling to the bottom!
I have researched extensively on the net and 99% of sources say yeast does not adhere well to glass. These particles don't even become UNSTUCK from the glass wall when the bottle is turned/tipped.
I too have found that the taste of the beer is not adversely affected (yet).
Anyone else got constructive comments?

Hi T-Bone,
From the other post where there were some pictures, I honestly believe that the spots are yeast, nor would I be worried if I were you. Try putting a bottle in the fridge at about 0-2c and see if that makes the yeast sink. Either way doesn't really matter so long as the taste is fine.
I've had this happen on occassion and it hasn't detracted from the beer taste at all, don't stress have a beer, to quote an age old saying.
Cheers

There's nothing wrong with having nothing to say - unless you insist on saying it. (Anonymous)
I just got one out of the fridge that's been in there a month or so and I can barely see any of these particles, although there are more around the top, they've made a little ring around the whole surface of the beer.Aussie Claret wrote:Try putting a bottle in the fridge at about 0-2c and see if that makes the yeast sink.
