Every time I go to Dan Murphy's I grab a few different beers to try. One in my recent haul was Black Sheep Ale from UK. A bit pricey at $7+ for 500ml so I won't be buying it again soon but I really enjoyed the dark smooth malty flavour. It didn't have the bitey, burnt flavour that some dark beers have eg Morgans Yukon Brown or Toohey's Old. It reminds me of Speights Old Dark 5 malt ale from NZ. I can't beleive the only Speights they sell here is the Gold Medal Ale shit which is about as tasty as dishwater.
Anyhow, can anyone relate to what flavour I'm talking about with the Black Sheep Ale and Speight's Old dark and if so can you suggest a recipe. Preferably just extracts
