Hi,
I picked up a couple of cans of stout at safeways they had them on special for$3.95.
I have a can of coopers draught, BE1 and BE2.
What suggestions would you guys give on making a stout with extras I have on hand.
I was thinking of just using the stout and draught into 23litres and the yeast that they come with (2 packets).
Or should I get to the HB shop and buy some malt?
Thanks,
Grant.

The popular version of this involves a can of stout and a can of dark. Using the draught instead would make it less bitter, and probably would make little difference to the colour.
Search through this forum for stout if you want to try something a little more complicated, there are heaps of recipes
Thanks NT, I'll try it with the draught then.
Cat, the best before is 17/3/07, so there not out of date. I think it was just a managers special. They also had coopers BE1 on special for $1.80. I bought them from the Jackson crt. Doncaster Safeway's.
Thanks,
Grant.
I grabbed 2 cans and there was 1 left on the shelf, I grabbed 3 bags of be1.
The manager must be scratching his head, probably sold 1 can all year and now 5 have gone in one day.
