I use small AVERY sticker bought from officework [24x16mm]. It goes in laser printer. I stick it on a cap, so it come out automatically. It is easy to peel from PET cap when it is dry.
But it is so small u can't have your logo on...

I've been using removable sticky labels. They're about 20ml round, can fit all the required info, and remove no problems at all when dry. Tried to take one off when it was wet after rinsing bottle, never again. The paper came off the top and the sticky stuff was left on the bottle.
"Doc, what can I do about these terrible hangovers?"
'You can stop drinking beer'
"No, seriously Doc, what can I do?"

I use the coloured stickers with a number so when your looking at a heap of bottles you can narrow down your seach to a colourgregb wrote:I do this also. My only problem is then looking at a crate of bottles thinking " Batch 63, what was that one?...???"evanmit wrote:I just write batch numbers on my caps before I put them on the bottles.

Looking for an easy way to label your bottles without a huge expense..?
Check out http://www.gadgetcave.com.au/
You can purchase sheets of blank 1" round adhesive labels that fit neatly on top of bottle caps, be they crown, plastic, Grolch ect.
Free Word templates and tutorial provided.
Design and print your own labels.
Quick and easy to attach. Throw away the label with the cap, so no more soaking and peeling.

I use a permanent marker on the lid and use a code that includes the date bottled eg P1/12 means Pilsner bottled 1st of December... Still have to rely on the old log book for the finer detail but can tell at a glance what kind of beer I'm looking at as well as how long it has been in the bottle (which usually helps me to know roughly where it fits into the grand scheme of things as well). Doesn't require too steady a hand if you write on the caps before sticking them on your bottles...

Started with numerals and now I use the Alphabet.
I know what is in bottle by keeping Excel sheet with recipe etc...
Generally can taste what is in the brew due to vast experimenting.
