Rasberry Vanilla Blonde (variation to Blueberry Wheat)
Although i think i could be all alone in here, im still gonna keep raving on, well any way i racked the brew onto the rassberries and vanilla today and mmmmmmm it smelt good, didnt look to flash though but im not used to berries floating round in my brew and i dare say there will be a fair bit of cleaning to get the fermenter back to scratch when its finished.
Also took off like a rocket through the airlock after i racked it so everything seems fine
Keep you posted, i think ill cold condition this one for a few weeks but i wont convert to my fridge container for probably 10- 14 days.

Well after 6 days in the second fermentation stopped and i racked off into another fermenter and let sit for a few more days, only put in the fridge for 2 days and she cleared up nice, it was mainly like a fruit juice sort of sediment not like a normal beer obviously, well bulk primed and now shes in the bottle so will let you know more in a couple of weeks when i test one
P.S if your gonna do one i hope you dont have a weak gut cos the mess in the 2nd is quite horrible, but worth it if it tastes as good as it looks

Well, I racked off my pilsener into the secondary fermenter onto 1 kilo of frozen raspberries which I'd cooked and mashed for 20 minutes or so.
My Pilsener now has a bright pink head!!!!!!!!! Is the beer supposed to be so colourful? I'm pretty sure the Kriek I tried was a normal colour.....
This will be interesting.

Go figurelethaldog wrote:Nah boonie it was actually a bit sour, for lack of a better word, im sure it will age out ok and it was drinkable just not my sort of thing, but in saying this it has only been in the bottle for 3 weeksDeffinately not to sweet, infact if i do it again i think i would add lactose instead of dex

It is young though as you have said.
Dogger reckons that they will get dry.
Have you had one like this Dogger?

Cheers dogger, im glad to here that it will round out as i was just slightly worried, i have been worried about brews before though and as is probably the case with this one, they deffinately fine tuned themselves in the bottle after a few monthsDogger Dan wrote:That sour flavour will round out.
Most people except the beers to be sweet, I think you will find that they are very dry.

Yeh,
I did a Cherry recently that I thought I had overdone. After about 4 weeks cold in the keg I was willing to gobble it down.
The other thing to note to is to try and back the hops down a bit as well
