Indeed. My wife was quite willing to buy me (on my kids' behalf) father's day gifts for my other hobby - bread making, but not beer. I think she thinks I don't need encouragement.
Besides, even though she doesn't mind a beer or cider, she's breastfeeding, so can't have much anyway.

I was given 50 dollars for Fathers Day and told to go spend it at the HBS, and then to top that of was given 6 nice stemed beer glasses.
I think my wife thinks homebrewing keeps me at home, and therefore spend more time with the kids
My daughter always love to give the beer a sniff after I've poured a new glass. She especially like's the stouts, says "It smells a bit like chocolate":lol:
She also like to put the caps on the bottles.
I have 4yr old twins and a 2year old. They love to get involved in the bottling process. Get's a bit hairy, but at least they are learning about the alcohol from a good source, not swilling VB six packs behind the golf course when they are 13 (like I did!).

Girlfriend is ace, and she doesn't drink beer so more for me Gotta love her for getting the kit
my missus bought me an extra kit for my b'day this year, i had a few already but she knows how much i love my brewin, shes a fantastic woman and im sure yours is too, if we could only get em to buy all the ingredients we would be laughing.
She also bit her toungue when I drilled through the brand new fridge to put the tap in

Oh i have an old fridge in the shed that i use already for ccing and storing ingredients(grain, yeast etc) and i also plan on maybe running a keg system through it one day, the problem would be attacking the new fridge

Just don't go see Mr arrogant on hamsted road,that guy at that HB shop needs anti depressants or something,i seriously wonder how his business survives with his fowl arrogant sarcastic attitude
