Draught suggestions

Post by ajoleary »

I'm trying to make a stock Aussie type draught beer that I can share with those who don't like some of my more exotic beer tastes. (stouts/nut Browns/ killkenny etc.)

Here's my likely recipe:

1 tin Thomas Coopers Draught
500gm LDME
500gm Morgans Dark Crystal Malt extract
500gm Dextrose
Pride of Ringwood hops pellets.
Safale S-04 Yeast

Will this give me what I'm after?
How much of the hop pellets should I use, and what method should I use to add them?

Open to suggestions...Cheers
Azza

Id say that would be good but maybe a little over the top for a stock aus draught, id personally use the kit with 1 kg of ldme and maybe 250-500gm maltodextrin . That would make a nice malty draught!

500g dark dried malt
500g light dried malt
200g dried corn syrup
15g Fuggles hops (left over from stout)
Standard Yeast
Volume: 23L

In Fermenter: Tue 8/8/06

I just made this batch up other day:

Thomas Coopers Draught
1.5kg Light Malt Extract
500g dried Corn Syurp
15g Tettanger Hops
Saflager S-23 Yeast

I am just curious to see how draught goes using lager yeasts.

Still fermating as we speak, started on 20/09/06

A homebrew is like a fart, only the brewer thinks it's great.
